Pictures from Hannover - 1995

For generations, Hanover has suffered from a poor image in public opinion. The city on the River Leine was slandered by various media (mostly by journalists who had no connection to the city) as boring, dull and provincial. In order to strengthen Hanover's self-confidence, which had been tarnished in this way, we joined forces with ex-architect and journalist Goetz Buchholz to focus on the city's attitude to life, which is so valued by its residents, and to find out what makes this city so special and worth living in. This allowed them to ground themselves a little between long photo trips abroad. The result was a subjective portrait of the city with surprising perspectives off the beaten track. The photo book was published in 1995 and replaced the now out-of-print volume "Unter Hannovers Dächern" in the KaJo program.
